Answer
Dial up internet is when your computer, using a modem and the telephone network, dials into Water Sprite's servers. Once connected, you have access to the internet.
We have a nationwide dial up number, which means that you are only charged local phone call costs by your telephone service provider.
Dial up internet has the advantage of being available to anyone who has a telephone, and it is an affordable way of getting connected to the internet.
There are a few limitations to dial up internet. Most notably, whilst you are connected to the internet in this manner, your telephone is engaged and you will be unable to make or receive voice calls. It is also very slow, and not suited to many uses of the internet - particularly VOIP and streaming video/audio.
