ADSL2+ plans

Our ADSL2 plans are available anywhere in Australia where your local exchange has available ports on Optus ADSL2 equipment. As a guide to see if your exchange is available, enter your phone number into this website: http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au/ (We make this suggestion for your assistance. That website is run by someone else, and we cannot vouch for its accuracy).

All Water Sprite ADSL2  plans come with included telephone line services. Our supplier is not prepared to provide this service on a phone line provided by another company. You can 'port'(transfer your telephone service) to Water Sprite to keep your current number with a Water Sprite ADSL2 service. If you wish to keep your current telephone provider, you will need to install the ADSL2+ service on a different line, and there is no discount if you do not use the telephone line service that is included. "Naked" ADSL2 coming soon!

All Water Sprite ADSL2+ plans feature:

  • Inclusive of line rental
  • Our good value telephone call rates
  • 10MB of personal web space;
  • Up to 3 email addresses with webmail or POP3 access (virus and spam filtered).
  • Either shaped or excess usage charge options on all plans
  • 12 month minimum service, or early termination charge applies

Shaped: The amount you pay is fixed at the monthly fee. If you exceed your usage allowance for that month, your account will be restricted to 64k download/64k upload speeds for the remainder of the calendar month.

Unshaped: You are charged an additional $0.03 per megabyte you download or upload beyond the included amount, but your speed is not restricted when you exceed your quota. This means that your total monthly bill might be quite expensive if you exceed your quota. If this is at all likely, it is almost certainly better for you to choose the next higher plan, as every 100Mb you are over is an additional $3.00.

20000/800 is the theoretical maximum ADSL2+ speed (download/upload). Actual speeds will depend on many factors that cannot be determined without connection, including line quality and distance from the exchange. The minimum guaranteed speed is 1500/256, but the vast majority of customers receive well above that.

Please note that termination of your connection for any reason within the first 12 months of service will incur an early termination charge. This charge is calculated at $20 per month between termination and the 12 month anniversary of connection, and is payable on termination. For example, if you terminated your ADSL2 connection after 7 months, you would be immediately billed for a $100 early termination charge (5 months x $20).
