Our VoIP plans offer you untimed local and national calls, free calls to other subscribers of our VoIP service provider, and cheap international calls by using the internet to provide a portion of the service. You must have a broadband internet service in order to use VoIP, although that service does not need to be with Water Sprite Pty Ltd. In addition to the call charges listed here, a call made or received using this service will use some bandwidth from your broadband connection, which may cost you money depending on your plan and monthly data use.
Basic VoIP plans
The basic VoIP plans are primarily intended for outbound calls only. They do not come with a number on the telephone network, and can only be called by other people connected to our VoIP service or affiliated services. They provide cheap outbound telephone calls to any national or international telephone number, and free calls to other subscribers to our VoIP service and affiliated services.
There are two plans to choose from - a plan that has no subscription fee, but slightly more expensive call rates, or a plan with cheaper rates but a monthly fee. To either of these you may (optionally) add one or more telephone numbers (see below).

Call Rates
These rates are for outbound calls. Inbound calls are not subject to charges.
For customers who have a Direct In-Dial (DID) number, please note that inbound calls directed to your DID number from a 1800 or 13/1300 service will incur charges as advised to you for inbound calls to your 1800 or 13/1300 service.

Direct In-Dial numbers (DID)
DID numbers are numbers on the Australian telephone network that allow people without VoIP access or who are with a different VoIP provider to call your VoIP service. You must have a Water Sprite VoIP service to order a DID number. In order to receive a call on that number, your broadband connection must be connected and active, but this can be achieved without requiring your computer to be turned on if you use an appropriate VoIP modem.
DIDs in non-capital city locations could be significantly more expensive where a low number of subscribers exists in that location.
These charges are in addition to the charges for your VoIP plan above.
